Marathon Training Plans
Access to all plans to select the one that works best for you

Pick from the following plan options:
- Beginner: 16 Week Marathon Training Plan (pick this one if this is your first time training for a marathon)
- Intermediate: 16 Week Marathon Training Plan (pick this one if you have done a marathon before and/or you can already comfortably run for 60mins 3 times a week)
- Advanced: 16 Week Marathon Training Plan (pick this one if you are an experienced runner who trains regulars 4+ times per week and is looking for a personal best or is focused on a performance goal)
- 16 Week Marathon Training Plan - Training with your Menstrual Cycle
- 16 Week Marathon Training Plan - Menopause Plan
You'll have access to all of these plans when you sign up. Once your profile is created you'll be able to select the training programme you want to follow (or try out both and see which one you like best).
All marathon plans will automatically start to populate on 10 March 2025. 16 weeks out from the Wellington Marathon Event.
As a bonus you'll also have access to the Base Builder Running Plans. Use these plans if you'd like to start training now and build up your base fitness before starting your Marathon Plan.
When you purchase a plan you will also receive a code to get 25% of your Wellington Marathon race entry and t-shirt. If you do not receive an email with the code please check your spam folder.
Terms and Conditions:
- Code is not to be shared and is valid for one entry and t-shirt
- Names of those who have redeemed a code will be cross checked against those who have purchased a plan
- Plans are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another date period
- If you have selected the wrong plan or would like to change plan types you are able to do so
